"Where can I see my country?  From Beigulou." July 23, 2023 was the fifth day of the "China Roots Tour" Zhenjiang Camp, and in the morning, all the campers came to Beigu Mountain.

The first place to arrive was the Dongwu Ancient Road. Along the Dongwu Ancient Road, the campers saw the Iron Pagoda. The structure of the iron tower is octagonal, with a tower base (i.e. lotus seat) under the tower, four doors on each floor, and exquisite statues of Buddha and Flying Sky cast on each floor, with vivid postures. In the guide's narration, the campers felt the historical story of the Beigushan Pagoda, and traced back from the architectural style and construction history to the long history of traditional Chinese architecture.

The next thing we saw was the Sino-American Friendship Tree. Ms. Pearl, who was born in Zhenjiang, won the Nobel Prize for Literature for her book "The Earth", and this tree was planted to commemorate the important contribution of Ms. Pearl to the friendship between China and the United States.

Along the stone path up the stairs, ascending the Ganlu Temple. On the one hand, there is the river, broad and voluminous, water and sky, high-rise buildings along the coast, and the verdant pines can be seen in the stacked pavilions; on the other hand, there is the scenic beauty of the mountains, the bells are pleasant to the ear, and the breeze is fresh and clear. The poetry of the ancient times is interpreted in the beautiful scenery with sound and color.

Campers in front of the Beigu building for a long time, only feel refreshed, calm and peaceful, there is a sense of unity between heaven and man, countless complexities and difficulties at this moment disappear, but also understand how many ancient and modern literati love this reason. It really should be the couplet: "The guest heart washes the flowing water, swings the chest and generates the layer of clouds".
