On the afternoon of 13th September, Liu Ling, the headmaster of South Africa International Centre for Chinese Education, accompanied by Sun Min, the deputy director of Overseas Chinese Affairs and Culture and Education Division of the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Party Committee, Xiong Zhijin, a researcher of the Overseas Chinese Affairs and Culture and Education Division of the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Party Committee, and Liu Xiangsheng, deputy minister of the United Front Work Department of the Municipal Party Committee and director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the Municipal Party Committee and Liu Biao, director of Overseas Chinese Affairs and Comprehensive Affairs Division of the United Front Work Department of the Municipal Party Committee, went to the Language and Culture Center for exchanges and research.
Jiang Yonghua, Deputy Director of the Language and Culture Centre, introduced to President Liu Ling and her delegation an overview of the Centre and a series of work carried out by the Centre in Chinese language education in recent years. After listening to the introduction, President Liu Ling expressed his deep appreciation for the work of the Centre in Chinese language education and believed that there are many directions for cooperation between the two sides. The two sides had friendly exchanges on topics such as HSK examination and training, the study situation of South African students in Jiangsu University and enrolment.
Established in 2013, South Africa Chinese Education International Centre (SACEIC) has long been committed to providing students from South Africa and Africa with a wide range of Chinese language training, Overseas Chinese Joint Examination (OCJE) training, SAT and A-level long/short-term preparation training, K12 training for local IEBs, IELTS and TOEFL training, as well as one-stop coaching for students from South Africa and other countries applying for undergraduate, master's and doctoral degrees, and language programmes in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and new territories. The Centre has been organising seminars for students from South Africa and other overseas countries for many years, and has been awarded as the South African Admission Office of Jinan University, the South African Admission Office of Overseas Chinese University, and the Admission Offices of many other Chinese Universities. Meanwhile, the International Centre for Chinese Education in South Africa is also a member of the Chinese Language Alliance, a member of the Global Chinese Schools Alliance, and a research base for overseas Chinese language education in the College of Chinese Language and Culture of Wenzhou University. Its schooling deeds have been published in People's Daily and China Overseas Chinese Network, and its award-winning students' works have been honoured to appear in the media reports of People's Daily, CCTV News, and Global Network of Domestic Universities and Colleges Periodicals for a number of times.
Ni Hongyan, Vice Minister of the United Front Work Department of Jiangsu University, attended the seminar, which was also attended by relevant comrades from the International Chinese Teaching Department of the Language and Culture Centre and the Admissions Section of the Overseas Education College.
