Dr. Jiang Yang, Director of New Zealand Chinese Language Testing and Teaching Center, Leads Delegation on Visit and Exchange
Recently, Dr. Jiang Yang, Director of the New Zealand Chinese Language Testing and Teaching Center, and Xiong Zhi, Director of Zhenjiang International Economic Cooperation Corporation, visited the Language and Culture Center of Jiangsu University for exchange. Huang Bei, Vice Chairperson and Secretary-General of Zhenjiang Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, accompanied the delegation, and Professor Yu Hongyan, Vice Dean of the School of Liberal Arts and Deputy Director of the Language and Culture Center, received the visiting guests.
First of all, on behalf of the Language and Culture Center, Dean Yu extended a warm welcome to all the visitors, and briefly introduced the center’s work and achievements in recent years in the international dissemination of excellent traditional Chinese culture, Chinese language education, short-term cultural exchange programs, and the compilation of international Chinese teaching materials. Then, Dr. Jiang Yang gave a detailed introduction to the main business scope of the New Zealand Chinese Language Testing and Teaching Center and expressed the urgent demand for Chinese language teacher training. Director Xiong Zhi also supplemented the current situation of Chinese language teaching and teacher teams in European countries such as Germany and France. Finally, the two sides reached a preliminary intention of cooperation on issues such as language and cultural exchanges and professional teacher training. Dean Yu presented the visiting guests with teaching materials such as 100 Essential Chinese Oral Sentences (Chinese-English-German), which have been compiled by teachers from the School of Liberal Arts (Language and Culture Center) in recent years.
