Jiangsu University Research Center of The Romance of the Three Kingdoms was founded in May, 2014. It is the first research center of The Romance of the Three Kingdoms in China. Zhenjiang is a city famous for the Three Kingdoms heritage. It has abundant cultural resources of the Three Kingdoms. For a long time, many teachers of the School of Liberal Arts have made fruitful academic achievements in the study of the Three Kingdoms.

In order to promote the cultural studies of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, strengthen exchanges and cooperation on cultural studies of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms at home and abroad and create a high-level academic platform, the School of Humanities and Law established this Research Center.

On December 18, 2015, the 2015 Annual Meeting of the "Three Kingdoms" Zhenjiang Institute and the fourth Zhenjiang Three Kingdoms Forum were held in Jiangsu University.
