International Students Win High Honors at the 5th "Telling China’s Stories in English" Competition

Recently, the 5th "Telling China’s Stories in English" competition came to a successful conclusion. In this year’s competition, entries submitted by international students from the Department of International Chinese Language Education of the Language and Culture Center delivered outstanding performances. Trisia, Lin Shasha, Jasmine, Mei Qian, Song Bin and other students won a slew of awards in the advanced category of the international student group at the national finals, including First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize and Honorable Mention. Meanwhile, Zhang Luo, Li Yan, Xu Dan, Fan Ziyi and other faculty members were named Excellent Instructor.

Launched jointly by China Education Television and New Channel International Education Group, the "Telling China’s Stories in English" competition is a quality-oriented education event open to students of primary, secondary and tertiary schools nationwide. Since 2020, the event has garnered attention from numerous linguists at home and abroad, educational institutions at all levels as well as news media outlets.
